Ben taught himself out of constant injuries and into coaching — now his mission is personal: help the uncles and aunties of Kuching move better, for life.

Ben’s sessions start deliberately gentle — one careful step at a time — before building up faster than you’d expect. The clients who ask “why so short?” in week one are usually the ones begging to finish a few weeks later.
His approach is methodical and built on respect for each person’s path. He works hard to create a welcoming, judgement-free space where you can break through self-doubt and build real confidence.
He believes that if something feels hard, that’s exactly the reason to keep working at it — safely and gradually. Avoiding a movement only makes it harder over time, so he coaches you toward it, not around it.
Coaching one-to-one at iLift Pines Square in Kuching, Ben is a great fit for adults and seniors — particularly anyone coming back after an injury, illness, or years away from training. Watching his own parents face joint pain and stiffness made the mission personal: help people stay independent and pain-free.
Certified Personal Trainer (ISSA).
Corrective Exercise Specialist (ISSA) — coaching safely around old injuries.
A welcoming space to break self-doubt and build confidence.
Especially good with adults and seniors rebuilding after injury or time away.
Ben’s journey began with his own struggles with weight and the intimidation of stepping into a gym. Teaching himself to train properly — and fixing himself in the process — lit the spark for coaching.
Watching his own parents grapple with joint pain and limited mobility deepened his purpose. An Accounting & Finance graduate sidelined by COVID, he earned his CPT and went all in on helping older adults stay strong and independent.
“If you can’t do it — that’s exactly why you keep trying.”
