His approach

Build the body like a house.

Darren listens first. He takes time to understand the problem — your aches, your worries, what you actually want — and only then offers a solution, never the other way around.

His philosophy is simple: a strong body is built like a house, on a solid foundation. That foundation is just getting your body moving with good form. Only once movement is right does he add weight — progressively, and always within what your body can safely handle.

What he’ll never do is load you with heavy weight from day one. He keeps every session safe, and always explains the “why” behind each exercise — the reasoning, not just the movement.

His story

From a 65-year-old’s abs to a coach’s calling.

Darren’s journey began in Singapore, where he met a 65-year-old coach who still trained almost every day — visible abs, clean diet, coaching others. Seeing that life in someone decades older was the spark: he wanted the same, and started that very day. He’d left home for Singapore at just 20 to build his own path.

Coaching was never the plan — a friend’s nudge got him certified — but the feedback changed everything. “Coach, my knees don’t hurt anymore, I can run again.” “The stairs feel so much easier now.” That became his mission. Outside the gym you’ll find him hiking, on the basketball court, or recharging somewhere new (and he won’t say no to KFC).
