Exna is a businesswoman who has been training with Coach Raphael for around a decade — since before iLift even existed. Ten years on, she is still going strong, and that consistency has paid off in a way most people only hope for.
What is remarkable is not just that she keeps showing up — it is what she can do. In her 60s, Exna moves in ways most people half her age would not attempt: conquering box jumps, working through agility drills, and lifting with real strength. For everyone who trains alongside her, she is the goal.
It did not happen overnight. Though she had exercised in group classes for years, the real transformation came once she started personal training. The changes in her strength and physique were subtle at first, then undeniable — and the compliments from colleagues and friends started rolling in. With a programme built around her, her knee pain disappeared and her strength climbed.

For Exna, iLift is also a sanctuary. Living on her own and running a company can be draining, and training here has become her way to switch off and de-stress.
“Coming to iLift makes me feel a sense of happiness. Sometimes the stress of work really gets to me, and having a place to unwind — and a coach who understands me — takes the pressure off.”

A decade on, Exna now trains with Coach Matiin and feels she is in the best shape of her life: stronger, more confident, and pain-free. Her story is proof that age really is just a number — and that consistency, the right coaching, and the willingness to keep going are what make all the difference.
